Rabbit Tales & Pioneer Trails

The library is having an amazing program about the parallel lives of Beatrix Potter and Laura Ingalls Wilder.
  • Connie Neumann, who is on the board of the Laura Ingalls Wilder Legacy and Research Association and a member of the Beatrix Potter Society, will compare these two classic children's authors and pioneering women in their 150th anniversary years.  Born only six months apart but worlds away, Potter and Wilder had more in common than their readers would first expect.
  • Now retired, Connie served as a teacher and librarian for schools and public libraries for 32 years in Texas, Colorado, and Germany.  She has focused on these two authors among many while traveling and studying across the US and abroad.  She now serves as a substitute librarian at the Longmont Public Library and lives in Longmont with her adventurous husband and Sheltie dog.
  • This program is for adults and teens.
  • Registration is required and will open here on January 11 at 10 am.  No email address?  Call (303) 651-8472 to register.

The Friends of the Longmont Library generously support library programs and services.
