Meet Suffragette Lucy Stone

Lyda Mary Hardy perfroms a first-person living history portrayal of Lucy Stone.
  • Join Lyda Mary Hardy for this first-person living history portrayal of Lucy Stone.
  • It was Lucy Stone who converted Susan B. Anthony to the cause of women’s suffrage. Stone was the first Massachusetts woman to earn a college degree, and soon after, she began to lecture for the Massachusetts Anti-Slavery Society, at a time when it was forbidden for women to speak in public. Admitting that, “I was a woman before I was an abolitionist, I must speak for the women,” Stone spent her life devoted to women’s issues.
  • For ages 16+.
  • Registration is required and will open on Wednesday, February 19 at 10 am. No email address? Call 303-651-8472 to register by phone.
