Local Author Takes Library Patrons on Colorado Excursions in Book Talk
Author Ed Sealover travels Colorado with history, hikes, and hops in January 25 program
Colorado is certainly a multi-faceted state with something for everyone to explore and enjoy. In his latest book, author Ed Sealover links several of those somethings into an adventurous, informative journey through the state. The Longmont Library will be hosting him in the City Council Chambers on Thursday, January 25, from 7 to 8 pm to discuss and share stories from Colorado Excursions with History, Hikes, and Hops.
His publisher describes the book this way:
“Colorado is replete with natural beauty, award-winning breweries and a history that reflects its wild and rugged character. Author Ed Sealover offers this detailed guide to ten three-day excursions full of nature, history and unique watering holes. Discover sprawling parks and celebrated landmarks throughout the state. Visit oddball destinations like the trail of America’s favorite cannibal and the renowned ghost town of Saint Elmo. Work up a thirst on the hiking trails of Rocky Mountain National Park and unwind on the single block in the state that is home to a brewery, a winery and a distillery. Uncover the craft, creative and cultural gems that make the Centennial State a curious wanderer’s dream."
A reporter with the “Denver Business Journal,” Sealover covers state government, tourism and the beverage industry. Over his 20-year journalism career, he's received 77 state, regional and national awards in categories ranging from investigative reporting to political reporting to public service. Sealover has been writing about beer since 2003, including the book, Mountain Brew: A Guide to Colorado’s Breweries (2011) and his ongoing "Beer Run" blog. Don’t miss this entertaining and informative program.
Registration is required for this program and can be accomplished online beginning Monday, December 26, at 10 am. No email address? Call (303) 651-8472 to register by phone.
