Popular Peeps Diorama Contest Returns to the Library this Month
Participants create dioramas of their favorite literary scenes using marshmallow peeps
The peeps are returning to the Library! For the fourth consecutive year, library patrons will be creating dioramas depicting their favorite literary scenes using marshmallow peeps as the figures. Dioramas, along with completed entry forms, can be delivered to the Library beginning Thursday, March 15 through Thursday, March 22 at 9 pm. Adults (those 14 and older) should drop off their dioramas at the 2nd Floor Information Desk, and Tweens (ages 9-13) and Children (12 and younger) can drop off their dioramas at the Children’s and Teen’s information desk. The dioramas will be displayed in the Library lobby from Friday, March 23 through Thursday, March 29. Members of the public are invited and encouraged to stop by and vote for their favorite peep diorama.
On Friday, March 30, winners in seven categories will be announced:
- Best Adult Diorama (ages 14+)
- Best Tween Diorama (ages 9-13)
- Best Kid Diorama (ages 8 and younger)
- Best Transformation of a Peep
- Best Diorama Title
- “Peeple’s” Choice (the winner of the public vote)
- Library’s Choice (voted on by library staff)
Contestants can work as individuals or teams. Join the fun at the Library this springtime – make a diorama or just stop by to enjoy them and vote for your favorite!
