Dungeons, and Dragons, and Teens! Oh, my!
Popularity of summer program leads to school-year follow-up
Calling all D&D lovers! After an exciting summer of learning the ins and outs of the role-playing game, Dungeons & Dragons, local teens and tweens lobbied for a permanent program, and the Library has answered. The “Dungeons & Dragons Drop-in Adventure,” a weekly program for kids in 6th through 12th grade, begins Tuesday, November 20 and invites tweens and teens with some D&D experience to play friendly campaigns at the Library each Tuesday from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. The most experienced players will Dungeon Master, while players with significant experience will mentor players with less experience. This is a kid powered program; participants will have to work together cooperatively to create the playing experience. New players may join but there is no specific instruction provided for beginners. Snacks will be provided. The program is free, but registration is required, and participants can register for one or more sessions at a time. Interested tweens and teens can register online. Those without an email address may call (303) 651-8477 to register.
