Library Launches New Online Room Reservation System
Patrons can reserve popular study rooms in advance and online
Responding to patron requests for a simpler and more convenient way to reserve study rooms at the Library, staff have launched a new online reservation system. With the new system, patrons are able to reserve the Library’s second floor study rooms online and up to seven days in advance. Previously, all room reservations had to be made the day of the reservation and only over the phone or in person.
Under the new system, persons of any age may reserve a study room. Each group or individual is limited to reservations totaling two hours each day, but the hours do not need to be consecutive. Patrons need to check in at the second floor information desk and have the opportunity to borrow pens for use with the large whiteboards in each study room. Reservations are booked on the hour or half-hour, and rooms are held for 15 minutes after the beginning of the reservation before being released to others. Patrons must occupy the rooms during the reservation time; the Library is not responsible for items or equipment left in the rooms before, during, or after a reservation.
See other rules and guidelines for use, along with access to the online reservation system. Reservations for the first floor large conference room will still be taken by phone and in person only, for the time being. All questions about the online reservation system should be directed to the second floor information desk at (303) 651-8472.
