City Council Member Bonnie Finley Reappointed to NLC Committee

Longmont City Council Member Bonnie Finley has been reappointed to the National League of Cities (NLC) 2019 Community and Economic Development federal advocacyBonnie Finley 2017 web committee. This committee has the lead responsibility for developing NLC’s federal policy positions on issues involving housing, community and economic development, land use, recreation and parks, historic preservation and international competitiveness.

As a member of the committee, Finley will play a key role in shaping NLC’s policy positions and advocate on behalf of America’s cities and towns before Congress, with the Administration, and at home.

The NLC is dedicated to helping city leaders build better communities and is considered a resource and advocate for 19,000 cities, towns and villages, representing more than 218 million Americans. For more information on NLC’s federal advocacy committees, visit

Finley, a lifelong resident of Longmont, was first elected to the City Council in 2011 to serve a four-year term representing the residents of Ward 3, and reelected in 2015 for another four-year term.
