Would You Like to Serve Your Community?
Residents are invited to serve as official advisors to Longmont City Council on several boards and commissions. The boards help City Council learn about and make decisions on a wide variety of issues that affect the safety, economy, and quality of life of Longmont’s residents and businesses. As a member of these committees, residents research and discuss local issues and offer their recommendations to City Council. To apply, you must be a registered voter of Longmont for at least one year prior to being appointed, and you must reside inside Longmont city limits. Visit bit.ly/longmontapp to see vacancies and to submit your application by 5 pm on Friday, April 26. For more information call 303-651-8649.

Get Water-Wise Through Landscape Seminars
Each spring, Resource Central partners with the City of Longmont and other water providers throughout the Front Range to host a month-long Water-Wise Landscape Seminar Series focused on low-water landscaping and other sustainable gardening practices. These seminars connect residents with local industry professionals who share their tricks of the trade and empower attendees to embark on their very own do-it-yourself landscape projects. Check the full seminar schedule and find one (or four!) near you at ResourceCentral.org/Seminars. Questions? Email GardenInfo@ResourceCentral.org or call 303-999-3820, ext. 222.
