This Week in Longmont - June 14, 2019
Bike to Beverage Day
Ride your bike to one of many participating businesses on June 15 and sip on your favorite beverage with incentives to those who ride their bikes in. To receive the incentive, you need to show your bicycle helmet as proof of your ride. Before you go, call your favorite beverage business to confirm the incentive that is being offered. And the City would love to see a photo of you with your bike in front of the business that you visit. Post your photos on Facebook, and use the hashtag #LongmontBike. To see the list of participating businesses visit bit.ly/LongmontBikeMonth.
2020 Human Service Agency Funding
The City of Longmont is seeking requests for proposals for 2020 funding from private, public, for-profit, nonprofit, nongovernmental and governmental agencies that serve primarily low- and moderate-income Longmont residents. Applicants must be able to document that their services benefit a significant number of Longmont residents; agencies that operate countywide or regionally also must demonstrate how they successfully involve the Longmont community in planning and program development to most effectively address the needs of Longmont residents. For more information and to submit an application, visit bit.ly/LongmontHSfunding.
