Turn Bargains into Treasures with ThriftU Classes at the Library

Free program shows innovative ways to reuse and upcycle thrift store finds

Post Date:02/14/2020

Let the library show you how to turn your thrift store finds into personalized treasures.

Master the art of thrift store upcycling with your ThriftU degree from the Longmont Public Library! Earn credits toward your degree in as little as two hours with the ThriftU program.  In the next two classes of this series, beginning and better crafters will learn to turn wooden bowls, trays, and plates into chic home décor with only paint, as well as how to make hanging planters or bird feeders from old picture frames. The classes will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 pm on Wednesday, March 11 and Wednesday, May 13. Supplies will be provided, and any one of any skill level aged 16 and older are invited to participate. Class size will be limited to 25 people. Registration is required and can be accomplished online. No email address?  Call 303-651-8472.  Classes are free so no financial aid is needed, and there are no pesky loans to repay. Get your thrifty education started today!
