Getting Started with Utilities

Visit MyUtilityAccount.LongmontColorado.gov to connect your service. Account requirements vary if you are renter or owner, but will be outlined in the setup steps. For assistance, you can call (303) 651-8664 or visit the Civic Center, in addition to using the utility billing website.

NextLight is the city’s fiber internet service and it has repeatedly been ranked as one of the fastest internet providers in the nation while also garnering praise from its local customers for its value and reliability. Visit the NextLight website to get started.

Trash, Recycling, and Composting Schedules

Emergency Notifications

To receive local reverse emergency notifications on your cell phone, visit the Emergency Notifications page and follow the directions for Boulder or Weld Counties, depending on your address. Learn more about the Public Safety Department (which includes police and fire) on its webpage.

Find Your City Representative

Longmont is divided into three election wards. Voters from each Ward elect one City Council member and the remaining Council members and the Mayor are elected by all voting residents of the City of Longmont and are representatives at large.
