The Longmont Youth Council, an advisory board comprised of teens who bring awareness to and try to resolve youth issues in the community. Grants are given to organizations in Longmont that work with school-age youth (ages 5-18) in order to make a positive change, improve, or provide a benefit to our community. The Longmont Youth Council provides grants of up to $500-$1000. Your project must be planned and carried out by SCHOOL-AGE YOUTH (ages 5-18). Groups applying for a grant must be able to spend the money by the end of the 2017 calendar year. We look forward to hearing from other groups in the Longmont area. How Youth can apply for grants . . . Any school-age youth can apply for a grant by meeting these requirements:
- The project must be planned and carried out by school aged youth
- The project must improve or benefit the community in some way
- Must have a least one adult supporter
- Must take a presentation to the grant subcommittee of LYC
