Important Notice: Utility Bill Pay Application Maintenance
A planned maintenance period is scheduled for the City of Longmont Utility Bill Pay application website on Saturday January 19th, 2019 from 9am to 1pm. This online application will be unavailable entirely or may experience intermittent periods of downtime during this time. Please save your work and avoid using the system during this time frame. We apologize for any inconvenience.
Knowing how much to budget each month for your utility bill can make paying your bills much easier. The City of Longmont’s Budget Billing Plan offers this convenience by averaging your last 12 monthly billing periods so that you pay the same amount each month. This plan applies to all utility services being billed to your account, which could include electricity, water, sewer, sanitation, composting, storm drainage, and parks and greenway maintenance fee.
The Utility Billing system will determine your monthly payment by calculating the average of your last 12 months’ bills then adding 5 percent of the average. The 5 percent is added to take into consideration usage fluctuation throughout the year. At the end of the 12-month period, in the 13th month, your budget billing amount will automatically be adjusted for the next 12-month period. Your monthly billing statement will show the actual running balance on your account and the budget billing amount owed, which must be paid on or before the due date to remain active.
Residential customers are responsible for tracking their own account balance and each 12-month period adjustment to the budget billing. You must have six months of billing history with good credit at the same residence, and your account must be current in order to qualify for the plan.
