The Longmont Judicial Department is comprised of the Municipal Court and Probation. The Municipal Court is a court of limited jurisdiction and handles violations of the Longmont Municipal Code and Charter. It is located in the Safety and Justice Center, 225 Kimbark Street, Longmont, CO 80501.

    What hours is the Court open?

    The Longmont Judicial Department, including Municipal Court and Probation, is open for business 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with the exception of court holidays and special closures. 


    Video Court Sessions

    The Longmont Municipal Court is offering “Video Court Sessions” as an alternative to in-person appearances for many cases.  This does require a personal computer with a camera or smart phone to access.  If you are interested in participating in a “Video Court Session” for your pending case, please call the Longmont Municipal Court at 303-774-4804 or email at  The Court will schedule your appearance and send you the necessary instructions and links.

    Where do I a file a Motion or Pleading?

    The City of Longmont Municipal Court accepts motions and pleadings by U.S. Mail, facsimile, in-person, or by email.  

    Please note that when filing a motion or pleading, each party is required to send a copy to the opposing party.  See C.R.C.P. 5 for guidance. The information on where to serve or send a copy to the City Prosecutor may be found here:
