The Longmont Judicial Department is comprised of the Municipal Court and Probation. The Municipal Court is a court of limited jurisdiction and handles violations of the Longmont Municipal Code and Charter. It is located in the Safety and Justice Center, 225 Kimbark Street, Longmont, CO 80501.

    What hours is the Court open?

    The Longmont Judicial Department is open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding legal holidays and special closures. The public is welcome to visit the court at any time.

    Where do I a file a Motion or Pleading?

    The City of Longmont Municipal Court accepts motions and pleadings by U.S. Mail, facsimile, in-person, or by email.  

    Please note that when filing a motion or pleading, each party is required to send a copy to the opposing party.  See C.R.C.P. 5 for guidance.   The information on where to serve or send a copy to the City Prosecutor may be found here:
