Do you have an affinity for birds of prey? Are you an avid birder or looking to learn more? The City of Longmont wants you in our Raptor Monitoring Program!

You can set your own nest monitoring schedule, but we ask for a minimum of one 30 minute monitoring session per week during nesting season. You must supply your own binoculars or spotting scope.

  • Experience preferred but not required.
  • Must have access to a pair of binoculars or a spotting scope.
  • Must commit to volunteering for a minimum of one nesting season.
  • Must attend at least one field training session with staff.
  • Must have a Volunteer Liability Waiver and Confidentiality Agreement on file before doing field work.

This program is full for 2019 and not accepting any volunteers at this time. Thank you for your interest.
