New Prairie Dog Regulations
The Longmont City Council approved new regulations for the extermination, removal and relocation of prairie dogs within the City of Longmont. Permits are now required for any activity that involves a prairie dog unless specifically exempted in the regulations. The permit application and checklist can be found below.

Prairie Dogs Available for Relocation
Colonies containing 25 or more prairie dogs are now required to be relocated if a relocation site is found by either the land owner or any person with interest in preserving prairie dogs. A list of prairie dog colonies that are available for relocation can be found here.
