Emerald ash borer (EAB) is a very destructive insect that was discovered in Longmont in June 2016 just west of the intersection of 9th Avenue and Hover Street. EAB is continuing to multiply its population and is expanding its territory in Longmont.

Tuesday’s traffic switch is expected to begin around 9 am and take most of the day. It will include removal of existing road striping and installation of new temporary striping. Travel delays are anticipated, and drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes such as Main Street. that day

The St. Vrain Greenway trail is closed from just west of Martin Street eastward, including the trail underpass, to the St. Vrain Greenway trail’s connection with the Left Hand Greenway trail. The closure, anticipated to remain in place until April 2019, is for construction on the Bonus Ditch.
