Descriptions of Volunteer Opportunities 2019

Gate Monitor

This position is great for watching the "rhythm" of the event. Monitors can listen to the music while monitoring people going out of the gated areas, and remind people about keeping alcoholic beverages in the designated area. (shift openings 4:45pm to 7:30pm and 7:15pm to 10:30pm : Friday & Saturday, must be 21 years or older)

Clean Team

Do you enjoy setting a good example? Do you enjoy making an instant and huge difference in your surroundings? We’ll equip you with whatever you need to help us bring order to the site and make it enjoyable for all. Tasks may include: straightening chairs, clearing tables, and maintaining cleanliness. (shift openings 5:30-7:30pm or 7:30-9:30pm: Friday & Saturday)

Festival Ambassador

Your smiling face provides a warm welcome to visitors as they come to the festival site. Tasks include: welcoming guests, provide festival guides and information, answer questions, provide directions, share ideas about what to see or do at the festival, and seeking feedback about the day. (shift openings between 4:30-7:30pm and 7:30-10:30pm : Friday & Saturday)

River Run Packet Pickup Rhythm on the River volunteers helping out with the Roger's River Run race registration.

Runners can pick up their packets at the Roger’s Grove pavilion the evening of the race – and we’d like to have your help. Tasks may include: checking names off a list, giving out T-shirts and bibs, folding shirts,and separating T-shirt sizes. (shift openings 5:00pm to 8:00pm: Friday)

River Run Registration

This position goes from calm to high energy as runners come to register the night of the race. Then help pack up shirts and materials after the race starts. Tasks may include: handing out T-shirts, providing race information, or processing day-of registrations. (shift openings 5:30pm to 8:00pm: Friday)

River Run Water Station

This position helps keep runners and walkers hydrated, healthy and happy near the midpoint. Tasks include: encouraging participants, pouring water, handing out water, and cleaning up tossed cups.(shift openings 7:15pm to 9:00pm : Friday)

River Run Water Station at the Finish Line

This position is a welcome sight for most runners at the end of the race – they finally get the rest, relax, and enjoy a cool drink of water. Tasks include: congratulating participants, handing out water bottles, giving directions to the post race party, and opening bottles for those that ask for help. shift openings 7:15pm to 9:00pm: Friday evening)

River Run Course Marshal

There are several openings. Marshals help direct runners, keep the path clear, and cheer on the runners. (shift openings 7:15pm to 9:00pm: Friday evening)

Token Sales 

This position may include counting and/or sorting tokens. (shift openings 4:30-7:15pm to 7:00-10:00pm: Friday and Saturday)
