SH 119 Pedestrian Underpass at Hover Street

Project Background and Recommended Improvements

This project will provide a key pedestrian/bicycle connection between Dry Creek Drive and Pike Road as well as provide an alternative to the busy State Highway 119 (Ken Pratt Boulevard) and Hover Street intersection. A grade separated crossing of SH 119 is planned just southwest of Hover Street. This is the first of two projects that will comprise the City’s SW Longmont Underpass Projects.

Hover Street Pedestrian Underpass at Dry Creek

Project Background and Recommended Improvements

This project will construct a pedestrian underpass at Hover Street and Dry Creek. A grade-separated crossing at this location is identified on the City’s Multi-Modal Transportation Plan and will provide a safer connection between the Village at the Peaks and the commercial business district on the west side of Hover Street. This underpass will also tie-in to the Dry Creek Greenway trail. This is the second of two projects that will comprise the City’s SW Longmont Underpass Projects.
