Seasonal Offerings
Nature Journaling – Ages 14+
12 – 2 pm, Saturdays

Observe and reflect on nature through sketching or writing. Materials provided; no experience needed. $5/person for materials.
Free Volunteer Social – Ages 18+
8:30 – 10 am, Saturday, March 14
Join us for refreshments and learn about the many ways you can volunteer at Sandstone Ranch. No registration needed. Stay for the open house afterward!
Astronomy Night & Star Party – All Ages
6:30 – 9:30 pm, Saturday, March 21
Members of the Longmont Astronomical Society will present a program on astronomical phenomena, followed by star viewing through telescopes.
Bird Walks – Ages 10+
9:30 am – noon, Tuesdays

Local birder, Carl Starace, guides you around the loop trail as you explore the variety of birds that pass through or call Sandstone Ranch home.
Guided History Tour – Ages 13+

Enjoy a 90-minute tour of the Visitors Center and Coffin family homestead. Please dress for the weather.
Amazing Insects – Ages 5+

Environmental Education with Longmont Rangers – Ages 8+

Explore the ecosystem of Sandstone Ranch with the Longmont Rangers. These outdoor programs are geared for ages 8+ but all are welcome.

Free Summer Community Nights
5:30-7:30 pm – Check back for the 2026 schedule.
Bring a sack dinner and join us at 5:30 pm before the main event to enjoy the scenery at Sandstone Ranch. Main event begins at 6:30 pm. Outdoor events, weather permitting: bring something to sit on. No registration needed. Organization links are provided as a resource and are not endorsed by the City of Longmont.
