The Finance Department facilitates interaction among the city council, city manager, other City departments and the divisions within the Finance Department. The Chief Financial Officer supervises all financial functions of the City, including Accounting, Budget, Risk Management, Sales Tax and Utility Billing. The department deals with the public regarding utility bills, accounts payable, sales and use taxes and municipal bonds. It also is primarily responsible for administration of the City's defined benefit and defined contribution pension plans.
