Through a franchise agreement with the City of Longmont, the local cable TV system provides three video cable channels to the the City of Longmont and the St. Vrain Valley School District.

Public Access - Channel 8 is the city's public access channel where community based, noncommercial organizations, groups or individual members of the public, on a nondiscriminatory basis, are the primary users. Channel 8 is governed by the Longmont Cable Trust (LCT) and its Board of Trustees. The Longmont Cable Trust is an independent entity that facilitates programming; reflecting the cultural, educational, civic, ethnic and spiritual interests of Longmont. LCT creates a vital communication link for Longmont residents operating Channel 8 under a Service Contract with the City of Longmont. LCT manages and controls Local, Public, Governmental, Informational and Educational Cable TV Access.

Educational Access - Channel 14 is reserved for the St. Vrain Valley School District where they are the primary users having editorial control over programming and services.

Government Access - Channel 16 is a video bulletin board providing information about the latest happenings in the City. The system continuously cycles 24 hours a day. Here are some of the topics shown:

  • Upcoming news for residents about city services, programs, classes
