SilverSneakers® Fitness program is designed for Medicare participants with select insurance plans. The program includes facility amenities and group fitness classes as well as unlimited access for daily admission. SilverSneakers® group classes offer the best opportunity to stay on track toward your health and fitness goals.

The SilverSneakers® fitness passes are good at the Longmont Recreation CenterCentennial PoolSt. Vrain Memorial Building , and Sunset Pool. SilverSneakers® Lunch & Learns

Join us on the 2nd Tuesday of each month from 12-1pm for a SilverSneakers educational class! Bring a lunch or snack. Meals on Wheels is available prior to the classes. Free for SilverSneakers members or pay the Senior Center Drop-in fee.

SilverSneakers® Orientations

A facility orientation will be held for SilverSneakers® participants the first and third week of the month. The orientation will provide a tour of the facility and an overview of the fitness equipment. Free, but please sign up at the front desk.

Class Descriptions:

SilverSneakers® Classic

Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement, and activity for daily living skills. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball are offered for resistance, and chair is used for seated and/or standing support.

SilverSneakers® Yoga

Yoga will move your whole body through a complete series of seated and standing yoga poses. Chair support is offered to safely perform a variety of postures designed to increase flexibility, balance and range of movement. Restorative breathing exercises and final relaxation will promote stress reduction and mental clarity. 

SilverSneakers® Circuit

 Combine fun with fitness to increase your cardiovascular and muscular endurance power with a standing circuit workout. Upper-body strength work with hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a SilverSneakers ball is alternated with non-impact aerobic choreography. A chair is offered for support, stretching, and relaxation exercises.

SilverSneakers® Cardio

Get Up & Go with an aerobics class for you - Safe, heart-healthy and gentle on the joints.  The workout includes easy-to-follow low-impact movement, and upper–body strength, abdominal conditioning, stretching and relaxation exercises designed to energize your active lifestyle. 

SilverSneakers® Boom

Fast paced challenging workout developed to improve strength, flexibility and endurance.

SilverSneakers® Splash

Activate your aqua urge for variety! SilverSneakers Splash offers lots of fun shallow-water moves to improve agility, flexibility and cardiovascular endurance. No swimming ability is required, and a special SilverSneakers kick-board is used to develop strength, balance and coordination.        

SilverSneakers® Stability

Stability is the newest class designed to help you become stronger and improve balance. The movements taught in class focus on specific exercises to improve strength and power around the ankle, knee and hip joints, while improving your reaction time. This class is designed for fall prevention and is suitable for nearly every fitness level. It can be adapted depending on the skill of individual participants. A chair may be used for balance and support.
